August - Late Summer nights, Birthdays oh and Work

August I did a LOT of working. The lady I sub for had some surgery going on so that meant me working everyday (excluding my only day off... Sundays) for 6 weeks! It was a long 6 weeks, let me tell you. My job can get pretty laborious. But I do love it! It is fun and I enjoy doing what I do. Kev had been working on putting a patio in the backyard so we could put a fire pit there and have some fun roasting marshmallows. It turned out super nice! I love it! We had replaced that spot of the yard with grass so many times, but for some reason grass does NOT like to grow there, so we decided it would be fun just to put a little brick patio back there where we could have a fire every now and then. It turned out awesome we love it and so do the kids!

Oh and yes, I did celebrate my 26th birthday! Yeay! I am officially getting old! I do have the BEST husband ever known to man! He threw me a pretty awesome birthday party and got me the most precious gift! He knows how much I LOVE Resien's, so he got a little bag of Reisen's and with each one he wrote a "Resien" why he loves me! I LOVED it! Couldn't ask for anything better! He helps me in so many ways, he truly is my better half! I love him! I had a great birthday! Here are some pictures of the AWESOME decorations! The kids helped him decorate!

Vyedka said...: Sounds like this was a busy month, especially with working! I can't believe you worked for 6 weeks straight! You poor thing. That would have been a lot of work! Oh my heck! I love the firepit! Lets get together and roast hotdogs and marshmallows when we come down in July okay! The kids would love it and so would I! Your backyard looks beautiful! My Beautiful Wife - (Kev's input on our blog)

I can't imagine my life without my beautiful wife, son and daughter! Erika is a loving, patient, and exceptional wife. she is a kind and wise mother! I am so blessed to have her! we held hands for the first time as we walked around bountiful park! she faked a neck pain while laying on my lap and kissed me for the first time! I worried for it seemed like forever about that kiss, I worried that I wasn't very good at it! she thought I was cute though and it worked out to my advantage! Erika and I had known each other for quite some time. She would come and do things with my friends and I. We were at the bountiful park for a young single adult activity and we were playing a game that included quite a bit of running and a heavier girl went down and was haveing trouble breathing. so I went and helped her. to make a long story short I think the girl was faking it cause when I mentioned ambulance all of her simptoms seemed to go away! Erike thought it was cute of me to hold her hand and tell her everything was going to be alright! I think I blew that a little later though when I threw a cooler full of ice water on her during a water fight! I knew she was meant for me after she made it past two weeks of me! She is wonderful! she makes me laugh and I am so happy to see her when I come home! Erika has so many qualities, she is patient, loving, tender, faithful, family oriented, always striving to do better, I cannot say enough about her! I hope she always knows of my love for her, my devotion to her, and my cherishing of her!
