Christmas Tree Permits!

I can't believe it is that time of year again! This is our favorite time of year! Kev and I are always counting down the days till we get our Christmas tree permits! If any of you love getting real Christmas trees you need to try this family tradition we have! In Heber the National Forrest Service only give out so many tree permits, they sell out so quickly it is crazy! So Kev and his nephew Josh decided instead of waking up at 3:00 in the morning to go stand in line they would just sleep over in line and now it has passed down to our little family. We go up the night before, set up our camp and sleep in line, so we are first in line. Kev has been first in line for 8 years now, this year was my 5Th. Ethan even sleeps out and he loves it! We usually just sleep out under the stars, but last year with Ethan, being his first year, we decided we had better bring a tent so we are a little bit warmer. We put our little buddy heater in there and we are set! It has been such a awesome and a favorite tradition we do! If any of you would like to join us next year just let us know! It is so much fun! After we got our permit we all went up to find that perfect Christmas tree, in the past years we would go after thanksgiving but we always had problems with weather and what not. So last year and this year we decided just to go cut our tree down the same day after we got our permit. There was so much snow! Ethan was loving it! I love this time of year!

He got the Tree permit! Lets go get our tree!

way cool.... I can't believe you do that... when you were little you were so prissy.... funny how times change... remember to keep the middle of the tree just have kevin cut all of the branches off so you can use it for a bed

Dude, you guys are crazy. I mean in the nicest possible way. Camping out in the cold doesn't sound like fun to me. But, building family traditions are fun so good for you guys!

We are very sad we couldn't come this year. My paintball thing was cancelled last minute (nobody told us) so by time we could've been ready it would've been way too late. We were pretty mad. There is always next year.

You definatly need the right gear to do this, otherwise we would freeze our butts off and it really would not be that fun, but luckily we have the right sleeping bags and coats and such we are comfy cozy all night long! We definatly missed you guys this year (cory and kendell) you have come every year I have! But like you said there is ALWAYS next year!

Fun, Steve and I love this Family Tradition of yours. It just seems like the best way to start out the holidays! Go cut down your very own tree. Thanks for inviting us all those years ago...I guess Kaleb is going to be 3 so it was 3 years ago. Ethan looks super cute in the picutes! That is a good idea to just go and cut down your tree on the same day. Do you just keep it in your garage until December?

What a cute Bat Ethan was! Looks like you guys had a fun Halloween! And I love the pictures you took of Ethan in the leaves! There is just something so fun about playing in leaves! Kaleb Loves how they crunch under his shoes!

Hope you are feeling well! You should be finding what you are having in the next couple of days, right? I always found out at 18 wks and today you are 17wks 5dys. I am excited to hear what it is. What do you think you are having? Well sorry this is soooo long... hope your family is doing well.
