Much Needed Update! (Part 3)

May was even crazier then ever! My little brother Zak left on his mission May 5, and since they don't let families say goodbye at the MTC anymore we pretty much had to say goodbye the Sunday of his Farewell. He gave such a great farewell speech, he is going to make a GREAT missionary!

I got called into work quite a bit through May and June so that kept me on my toes! Vyedka was able to be home for a little over a month for the weddings and everything so it was so good to see her and catch up on things! Ethan misses his cousins! He had such a great time with them! He still always asks me if we can go to Kaleb and Oakley's house and hopefully in the short future we can go see them!

My little sister Nikki got married May 21 to Josh and it was such a beautiful ceremony! The Bishop gave such an awesome talk! I loved it! Such great advice to not only Josh and Nikki but to all who were there! Such a great reminder to cherish your spouse! Thanks for an awesome night you guys! We love you both lots!

Memorial Day we went and visited Kev's dad grave, I can't believe it has already been 1 1/2 years since he has been gone... where does the time go?

June 4th was Amanda's High School Graduation! Holy Cow No more kids at school! My parents are empty nesters! I bet they thought they would never see the day! Congrats Amanda! We love you too!

Then Thursday June 10, Kelly, Kev's 103 1/2 year old uncle past away. This man just amazed me! He never spent one day of his life in a nursing home! Kev's mom and I would take him out to lunch each week, one time he was out mowing his lawn, of course he had a riding lawn mower, but still come on! At 102 mowing your lawn, that is just amazing! He was so full of life! Always cracking the jokes, he will be missed! We love you Uncle Kelly!

I love those pictures of the kids!! hahaha I was laughing so hard when I saw them!! What was Oakley saying!! She looks like she is roaring like a lion!! And those cookies they are eating look so so good!! I know, Kaleb and Oakley always ask if they can go over to Ethan and Kiley's house too! Kaleb was so sad to leave all of his cousins! It is hard living away from everyone! Nikki's wedding was amazing! She looked beautiful! I am so glad we were able to be in Utah to see her get married! I am glad you guys were able to see Kevin's dad's grave on memorial day, Steve and I ran out of time and were able to see his Dad's grave before we left. I felt bad. And I can't believe Amanda is graduated! Great picture of you guys! Super cute! Oh my I can't believe Kevin's uncle was almost 104 years old! How amazing! My Beautiful Wife - (Kev's input on our blog)

I can't imagine my life without my beautiful wife, son and daughter! Erika is a loving, patient, and exceptional wife. she is a kind and wise mother! I am so blessed to have her! we held hands for the first time as we walked around bountiful park! she faked a neck pain while laying on my lap and kissed me for the first time! I worried for it seemed like forever about that kiss, I worried that I wasn't very good at it! she thought I was cute though and it worked out to my advantage! Erika and I had known each other for quite some time. She would come and do things with my friends and I. We were at the bountiful park for a young single adult activity and we were playing a game that included quite a bit of running and a heavier girl went down and was haveing trouble breathing. so I went and helped her. to make a long story short I think the girl was faking it cause when I mentioned ambulance all of her simptoms seemed to go away! Erike thought it was cute of me to hold her hand and tell her everything was going to be alright! I think I blew that a little later though when I threw a cooler full of ice water on her during a water fight! I knew she was meant for me after she made it past two weeks of me! She is wonderful! she makes me laugh and I am so happy to see her when I come home! Erika has so many qualities, she is patient, loving, tender, faithful, family oriented, always striving to do better, I cannot say enough about her! I hope she always knows of my love for her, my devotion to her, and my cherishing of her!
